Farewell, Eden, Kendra and Nic

Just watched Eden Espinosa, Kendra Kassebaum, and Nicolas Dromard's last show. I am emotional! But what an exhilarating experience it was to see the three of them onstage tonight. And the audience (which included me and Libby) was so fantastic! Parts of the show felt like a rock concert, there was so much applause and cheering.

Anyway. Eden, Kendra, and Nic: you will be sorely missed.

Okay, I'm going to go eat my feelings and have nachos and a quesadilla.

  1. i don't understand... does this mean you now
get to replace eden, permanently??!! well, i am sad for them all, too, but this will be wonderful to be able to watch you again, not having to guess when you are performing!

  2. It was such an amazing show! Eden was AMAZING!!! Best show I've seen so far (out of my 8)! But I agree, I will miss Nicolas a whole lot! :(

  3. It was a very emotional night for all of us -- I can't believe I sobbed as much as I did. I felt like such a goober at times.

While I'm looking forward to Marcie Dodd starting Tuesday, part of me hopes the San Francisco weather pulls a number on her like it did Eden so we get to see you a few more times.

  4. @alexand No, I'm staying on as the Elphaba Standby. Our new principal Elphaba is Marcie Dodd. I am sure you will love her!

  8. It was a rock concert, brought to the Curran by the Wicked faithful (I would estimate at least 30-40 hardcores in the first few rows) It was important to sendoff Kendra and Nicolas in style after such long and outstanding runs since all the way back to january 2009(forever in theatre years), and also Eden for her incredibly powerful four months.

Great performances by all, and looking forward to the new crew tuesday. I hope Marcie gives you a day or two a week, as Teal rotated with Vicki, so you are tuned and ready to go lead a national tour or go lead on broadway

    Best

  10. Goodbyes are always hard, but you all are gaining an amazing Elphaba! Loved Marcie when I saw her back in February. =D Alli is amazing too, Cliffton I heard is a great Fiyerio too. Enjoy the new cast members and their break-in performance tomorrow night. Hopefully won't be as exciting as your first night as standby! ;) hehehe

  12. It was an epic performance. I'm so glad that the fates conspired to allow me to be there for it. Slightly disappointed however, that the aforementioned fates did not also see fit to have you eat a banana at some point during my CA adventure. I guess I'll have to wait for you to come eat bananas on Broadway.

  13. I worked the show on saturday and Kendra was amazing. I know it will be sad for you guys losing cast members (for me, Nick and Kendra especially), but I look forward to seeing who will come in to fill their "shoes". ;D I do have to say, I wish the standby could permenantly become the next Elphaba-wink!-but you never know. I definitely see you as another Vickie Noon because of the dimension of growth and good comic timing you put into the character. I'm a girl who eats her feelings and works it off onstage too! :D

  15. I saw the show the Wednesday matinée prior to this, and even then, I could tell emotions were running high. The chemistry between Kendra and Eden had a little something more to it, especially during "For Good."
